Lenovo has confirmed that press release images showing the T470p with a Thunderbolt 3 port were a mistake, and that only the dual-core T470 and T470s will have Thunderbolt 3. This is bad news for ThinkPad fans who were hoping to use a T470 with an external GPU.

What Lenovo should confirm for the press is whether this Laptop line will finally be PWM free or not.
No, Lenovo completely ignores the PWM issue at all. There is a long thread about it in Lenovo forums.
It does not matter if they will continue to use those terrible second hand 4K screens from P50 in new models as well.
I am new to this, what is the PWM issue?
PWM is short for pulse-width modulation and describes a flickering of the background illumination to reduce the luminance.

Does T470P has touch screen?
So I'm just gonna keep my T440p - cause really you are just giving me a slightly faster and slimmer computer 4 years later. I even have room for extra SSD's in the old one.
Lenovo, this is a bummer! #startover
