Why manufacturers on gaming notebooks do not put IPS display with good response time? Although many monitors (such as the Dell UltraSharp U2414H $ 200) set IPS matrix with a response time of less than 8 ms.
What do you think when gaming laptops will start to put IPS matrix with good response time?

In gaming, witcher 3 with hairworks off the MSI GE72 7RE-046 gives 48.7 fps while Acer Aspire VX5-591G-D0DD gives 37.3 fps. Why so much difference in fps? Both have same processor and graphics card, the only difference is the SSD model. Does the SSD speed affects the performance? Or are there other reasons.
Will you review also the 553VE (15inch version?) how are thermals / audio / battery in comparison with this one? Thanks
Very interesting review, It made me buy a GL753VD-GC003T because I already had a SSD and I wanted to use it in my brand new laptop but I now I have a little problem... I don't know how to open it.
The bottom part of the laptop is different from GL752 and when reading the manual they say "unscrew the screws, remove the sticker and... open it" without saying where am I supposed to be pulling from or whatever in order to unlock it.
I've just asked Asus about this and they've told me that if i don't have the tools or the knowledge i should send them my laptop to do it and (of course) they will charge me 70euros in labour plus the cost of another SSD which a I don't need (because I already have one). It's crazy. I buyed the laptop yesterday and they want me to pay again today.
As I've seen that you've open it for this review, I was wondering if you could help with this. If you can I will be more than happy. Thank you in advance!
I purchased this Laptop and first gaming tests @ Battlefield 1 show much badder FPS scores...
The test says about 46FPS @ high - my Laptop scores around 30
and only 40-50 @ full Resolution/ medium Details

I just came from an electronics store and was about to buy this laptop because of this review. Thank god that i brought a flashdrive with benchmark and testing tools along and they let me test the demo display unit with them.
This review and laptop are utter garbage, just running prime95 along with HWinfo temp values jump in liteally 1~2 seconds from 36c to 93c and CPU gets INSTANT throttling @2.1ghz with 85~87c temps for the rest of the stress test and it stays there forever, its cooling system is unable to keep up with the cpu load. What is the point in buying an i7 CPU if you have to run it below i5 performance so it does not burn itself?
It seems that his kind of behavior is now the norm and the throttling "feature" has been widely accepted as something normal, while it is not. Thermal throttling is not a feature but a safety measure so the cpu does not damage itself, meaning that the cpu temp it is actually reaching a point that the integrated cooling solution should never allow to happen in any device, ever.
I was forced to sell my MSI GE70 2PE Apache pro for this same reason, so it's not an issue with Asus or any particular brand.
What if i playing games using plug and charge, and didn't realize the battery full. will it damage the battery?
