Title: Acer Swift 7 SF713-51 Notebook Review
Post by: Redaktion on December 17, 2016, 22:17:29
Thin, Thinner, Acer Swift 7! The trend towards thinner devices keeps going forwards. Acer has now created the thinnest notebook in the world: less than 10 mm thick. We will check to see how well the Kaby Lake dual-core SoC works in our review.

As to the "thinnest" laptop claim, that's a bit of a marketing gimmick. Typically, Apple comes out with the thinnest model, and then a Windows model comes out that is slightly thinner at the bezel, but keeps that thickness throughout the base, where Apple's MacBook and MacBook Air lines taper to almost nothing at the front end. So the average thickness is still lower on the Apple model. Another item to note is that the MacBook has a retina display of 2304x1440 pixels, which is capable of driving a full 55" 4K display, it is not certain that the Acer can do that. Other than that, thank you for your review!
