Title: Acer Aspire E5-774-54HJ Notebook Review
Post by: Redaktion on November 28, 2016, 20:21:10
Cheap DTR. The Aspire E5-774 works very quietly, barely heats up, offers simple upgrade options, has a FHD screen and good battery life - a nice desktop replacement. The price is relatively low at 550 Euros, but the laptop does not come with a Windows OS.

This is only true for the official Intel Website. Driver Version 21.20.16.4526 has the iKBLD_w7 entry. I do not own a kaby lake system, but you could try the file from laptopvideo2go.com

I bought this and tried Linux Mint 18 (based on Ubuntu 16.04) and it has some display issues - no hardware acceleration & no way to set the brightness.

I installed ubuntu mate 16.10 and it worked very well - thought I haven't tested bluetooth yet.
