The one year old Nexus 5 may be fit for scrap if it suffers from hardware failures because a certain not specified part is out of stock and won't be available anymore. Instead, LG offers a refund, users on reddit report.

Yep. Mine is scrap. Tried to install Nougat 7.0 and got boot loop. I tried 5 or 6 different ROMs, some Nougat, some Lollipop, but none worked. Boot loops everytime. I have Nougat on my Nexus 4 and my Nexus 5, but Nexus 5X can't handle it. Very strange. At least I'll get my refund. So glad I kept my receipt. They won't refund without it. Good luck everyone!
