There is NVMe option.
System can get very buggy if temperature reach 75*C and above.

This NUC DO support NVMe as I got Samsung SM951 installed with CrystalDiskMark 2212MB/s read and 1278MB/s write

 Would love to see it paired with a egpu like the Razer Core which they did say is compatible on how well they play together
