Platform update. Slightly delayed, but they are here. As September draws to an end, the first notebooks based on Intel's Skylake architecture are arriving on the scene. Our first test device equipped with the new technology is the Schenker XMG U506, which has a bona fide desktop processor at its command. Is it time for the old CPUs to disappear?

From the article:
QuoteThe XMG U506 deserves some criticism for its 3D mode. As soon as we opened a graphics benchmark or a game, the CPU turbo deactivated itself entirely and did not reactivate until the next boot process. We assume this is a bug. Happily, the problem does not have much of an effect on the performance (the base clock rate is only 400 MHz below the maximum).
We can confirm that this bug is not present anymore in the finalized product with the last BIOS update.
