Title: Fujitsu Stylistic Q704 Convertible Review
Post by: Redaktion on August 13, 2014, 08:05:50
Weary business tablet. More than one year ago, we tested a Windows 8 tablet made by Fujitsu, which - among other things thanks to its keyboard dock - was supposed to appeal to business customers. Now, its successor has arrived - but unfortunately, not all changes are to the better.

Were you guys able to take this tablet apart to see why it has the temperature issues?  I know for a fact that the processor runs annoyingly hot for the low output.  This would cause the throttling issues on the CPU and the GPU.  My model also has the waterproof and dust resistant shell, which probably guarantees that this thing has to struggle to get proper air flow (hence the fan noise).  I'd also wager that the CPU doesn't have enough thermal paste.  I'm considering sending it back to Fujitsu to have them fix it (properly add thermal paste, remove the waterproofing, replace noisy fan with quiet fan).  Or, if they wont, I'll just void the warranty and do it myself, or return the whole thing.
