Title: Review Samsung Series 7 Ultra Touch 740U3E-S02DE Ultrabook
Post by: Redaktion on May 17, 2013, 08:26:32
The more the better! Samsung packs the Series 7 flagship in an aluminum housing and equips it with a powerful Core i7, a dedicated AMD graphics card, a large SSD and a multi-touch Full HD IPS display. A bit over the top? We have thoroughly tested this good piece of hardware for you...

Thanks for that review, I already bought it.
I don't have the touchscreen but I paid only 950€ on amazon.fr
Is there any way to overclock the dGPU?
Thanks a lot!

Actually I bought the model with the i5-3337U, so it's cheaper than this one obviously.
One problem that you didn't mention is the fact that it is really hard to unplug the battery connector from the computer.

is there any company that ships this to Korea? Samsung is a Korean company but they don't sell it here for some reason... I think they are waiting for Haswell, but I don't know when that is going to be..

I bought mine last month and it's amazing. My battery lasts about 7 hours using office and I've never one brought my power cord to work yet. Hehehe! They don't have the 256 gig ssd though here in our country.

I've currently got the 17" S7 Chronos (has been a very good system for the past 18 months) but I'm looking at replacing it in the autumn with something smaller and lighter.

What I'm ideally searching for is something around 15" with at least 16GB RAM, 1TB SSD (happy to retrofit), 1920x1080 (or higher), touch screen (matte if possible) and excellent battery life. An optical drive would be nice, but isn't critical. Any suggestions?
