Title: Review Lenovo IdeaPad Z500 Notebook
Post by: Redaktion on April 27, 2013, 20:45:20
Balanced. The IdeaPad Z500-MBYG2GE is aimed at performance hungry multimedia users in particular. With an energy-saving Quad Core and a GeForce GT 645M, the 15 inch device offers sufficient power for most (3D) applications. We have reviewed the allrounder and will report our findings here.

I am the unfortunate owner of this machine. The F1-12 key's only work by pressing Fn simultaneously - the standard operation of the keys is volume up/down etc and Lenovo completely ignores the requests for a way to change this behavior. The shiny screen makes it unusable in light conditions (unless you like looking at yourself in a mirror). To access anything inside the cabinet, like changing battery, inserting RAM or an SSD disk, is a major operation where you have to take off the keyboard (try watching a video on this). Don't buy this awful machine is my advice, it is not well thought out. It is definitely my last Lenovo ever.
