Title: Review Dell Latitude 6430u Ultrabook
Post by: Redaktion on January 27, 2013, 00:11:49
Slimmed down business. As the only Ultrabook thus far to satisfy a multitude of standardized military reliability tests, the build quality of the 6430u is sure to meet the needs of practically every business user out there. Though powerful on the outside, is its internal performance up to par?

The price you guys put in is way off. I think you entered the price in euros as price in dollars, plus the VAT is not included, while i'm pretty sure you usually give prices including sales tax...
I actually got excited this laptop would be that cheap!

Any comments on the option to have 1600x900 pixel resolution screen supposedly from February 2013 and the wireless docking station?

No news yet on updated models.

The price given is the base price in USD. The EUR price is simply a direct conversion of this, so taxes and VAT are not included

The 1600x900 should be accessible really soon - I can order it now on another website.
Too bad the resolution is not mentionned in the review (and the screen will likely be better).
I guess the battery tests were done with the 3cells one ? So it would be nice with the 6.
Also, the 70% game score is "wrong", I'm not sure you can expect way more from an ultrabook for now.
For now, this is the best ultrabook (with removable battery and accessible content) I've seen...

Hi everyone! I'd like to buy this ultrabook but there is something I don't know. You said you tried to add another mSATA SSD and that it wasn't recognized. Have you tried swapping the original Samsung SSD on the other slot?

Anyways, this is a rgeat review, thanks a lot guys.  :D

Hi. I have this amazing computer! The only thing that is extremely annoying is the disk/DVD drive on the right hand side of the computer. It is SUPER sensitive and opens almost each time you pick up the computer. Is there a way to make it less sensitive or just lock it?
The small soft plastic buttons at the base in the front of the computer also easily fall off. I have lost one of them.
