Title: Review Lenovo G780 Notebook
Post by: Redaktion on November 07, 2012, 04:07:25
Wasted potential. Lenovo releases a multimedia laptop for just under EUR 770 dubbed IdeaPad G780 (M843MGE). The case is the same as in the prior G770 range. Theoretically, the G780 sports strong components but practically, the potent hardware has been cropped ex-factory.

Is this acceptable?  My G780 is well ventilated.

Thanks..

The 780 is a disaster.  Trust me I have one.  Crashed 5 times since I bought it.

Lenovo g780 has a big problem with the hinges attached to the chassis (which gives plastic hinge screws are fixed)

i have a G780 core i7, does anyone know if it supports 16GB RAM?  (everywhere i look it says 8gb is the max but then i found an article of some guy that installed 16GB on a G780 i5, so I'm unsure)

I have a G780. Sits on my living room table and is never moved. Works great as a PC-TV and for general use. NOT FOR MOBILE USERS. The build quality is adequate but fragile. You must never travel or move around with this machine. It is not built for hard use. Great machine, but treat it gently. Especially the hinges. You have been warned!

Jestem Użytkownikiem tego laptopa ponad rok.
Zacznę  od zalet przez pierwsze 5 miesięcy działa
Teraz wady:

Can someone...anyone tell me where the CMOS Battery on the motherboard is located? I have a G780 that has been acting strange. Never keeps the correct date and time, sometimes I try and power it on and it works other times the power light flashes three times and it wont turn on.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
