Title: Review Apple MacBook Air 11 Mid 2012 Subnotebook
Post by: Redaktion on August 22, 2012, 08:23:48
Fresh Air. Cupertino's smallest notebook receives new components in Apple's mid 2012 update.  Cornerstones of the new Macbook Air 11 are the Ivy Bridge processors, flash storage, an 11.6" display and new USB 3.0 ports.  Have various Ultrabooks caused the air to get thinner?

Can you please post the actual panel id rather than the apple part number?

Use this command in terminal:

ioreg -lw0 | grep IODisplayEDID | sed "/[^<]*</s///" | xxd -p -r | strings -6

You will get either:

LTH116AT01A04
LP133WP1-TJA3
B116XW05 V6

This book has nice superficial qualities but I'd rather get a better benchmarking Asus Zenbook instead (at a lower cost no less!).
