Entry price, high-end performance. The first Google tablet to sport the Nexus name is at last available for $200 with specs and features that are surprisingly similar to more costly high-end models. Is this a home run? Or is it another Motorola Xoom?

I don't understand the 86% result : you gave 35% for game performance and 60% for application performance for a Tegra3 tablet ? Hope you will correct this : it will give far more than 86% overall

A user had asked a similar question on our Asus Infinity review.
We use the same ratings system across all devices, so CPU/GPU scores for tablets may appear relatively low.

Nova 3 and NFS HP are both from gameloft, did you test any non gameloft game (which are usually only optimized for IOS), games like shadowgun and Dead trigger, I personally can understand this not holding up to Ps vita, or not having the same selection as ipad but in most games the performance I hear is great and the form factor is perfect for games, and you can even use a ps3 controller over bluetooth (although I'll stick with my xperia play).
Hello, it appears you are using cyanogenmod on the device? If so, how were you able to install Google Chrome on it?
Shadowgun and Dead Trigger play more smoothly on the Nexus 7 than does NOVA 3, though you can still notice the variable frame rates during the more intense sequences. Gaming performance is still spectacular overall for a 7-inch tablet. The NFS IP, i believe, belongs to EA and not GameLoft.
With regards to Cyanogen, we review all tablets with their respective official ROMs. Chrome for Android is so far only available for ICS or above, at least officially. The Nexus 7 uses Chrome as its stock browser.
Well just a few words from me. This review was published in August 2012 and I am still using my Nexus 7 2012 (32GB 3g). Its not running on Android 4.4.2 KitKat. For the price paid it sure beats some of them fancy androids phones more than twice its price, minus the calling features of course. For general comm over emails and doing some basic editing work on QuickOffice it sure performs admirably. And there is no more lagging due to the trimm featured incorporated by google into Android 4.3 and later.
