native resolution of the 15" is 1600x900, 17" is 1920x1080. I've just purchased this laptop in HK (I guess in advance?). JBL speakers are absolutely incredible - loud and great bass, probably the best bass I've heard in a laptop. Damage was $8950HKD (About $1200 USD)
