Saved in the wrong places? The main thing is cheap – if you don't have any special requirements on a basic Office notebook, you'll find a wide range of offers for around EUR 400. Whether the TravelMate 5744Z from Acer should be put on the shortlist is clarified in this review.

Fair assessment. The display is a bit weak. This is hard to live with.  Plasticky body.The price is competitivethough. Wish Acer had done a slightly better job.

Great notebook.
Good battery life and very high-performance CPU!!!
