We purchased one. As you point out, the unit is unsuitable for navigation. Know why? There is no GPS! It uses location services from your hotspot, google, your network to estimate your position, but if you turn off WiFi, all navigation features instantly cease. One way to detect this, had we known, is to use an app like GPS essentials that will report location source. On a real tablet, it will say GPS, on the Lenovo, it will say WiFi. Returned it and got a Samsung tab S8.

Since it is USB C 2.0 it cannot be used to export video output, you can cast using the monitor's inbuilt feature or through casting devices like chromecast. However it will not be like samsung dex where you will have a modified interface for the purpose
