Sony has now announced an imminent product announcement event scheduled for September 1. While Sony does not specify, by most indications, the Japanese company will unveil its compact flagship for the year, the Xperia 5 IV, at that event.

Please don't call it compact until it's as small as the Sony Compact phones or iPhone Mini

It's narrow enough to be called compact. because of 21:9 screen ratio (if any other ratio it's REGULAR SIZED)

NICHE Xperia 5 is Sony's compact (Xperia 1 then turned into the ULTRA sized model)

Last truly compact was Xperia xz2 compact
