Title: Nvidia restarts GeForce RTX 3080 12 GB production to get rid of excess Ampere stock
Post by: Redaktion on August 15, 2022, 20:06:10
Nvidia has reportedly restarted manufacturing the GeForce RTX 3080 12 GB variant two months after it was discontinued. It seems that the company has excess stock of GA102 GPUs and wants to use them before the RTX 4000 series launch.

Nvidia made it as hard as possible to buy 3080 10GB (good MSRP, 320W enabling silent operation) by
- selling to miners
- introducing 3080 TI
- introducing 3080 12GB
- introducing 3090 TI
- reproducing 3080 12GB

Nvidia tried to sell all it's extra GPU orders and couldn't. They fucked gamers over in favour of miners and are now trying to get gamers to bail them out before they offload a new model.

Amd and Nvidia can go f*** off... I'm sticking to a Mac m1 now and Xbox cloud gaming. Eat my balls you sack of dickheads.
