Title: I hope Blizzard can address these issues quickly

One of the most exciting aspects of Burning Crusade has been the development team's stance of making "some changes" to the experience and separating it from its 2007 release. This is in sharp opposite to the "No Changes" concept that was the basis of WoW WoTLK Classic itself with the intention of providing an experience that was as similar to the original MMORPG as possible in order to maximize nostalgia. Unfortunately, modern gaming sensibilities and more readily available knowledge made the game much easier than fans remembered in its early days however, this disappointed many gamers seeking a more challenging experience down memory lane. Blizzard's open-minded design philosophy for Burning Crusade is likely to create a more enjoyable and difficult experience.

Unfortunately, some fans may have to wait longer to see what these changes will be. Blizzard has issued a statement on the Warcraft Devs Twitter feed that the game was affected by a DDoS attack. The team has warned that the attack could cause higher delays and less connectivity for players who are trying to play the new expansion. The team has assured that they are actively investigating the issue, however as of the time of writing, no additional details have been provided.

DDoS attacks occur when a person attempts to damage an online platform by bombarding it with excessive task and requests. They're a common occurrence within the online gaming community in March; an angry player was able to successfully carry one off on LittleBigPlanet's servers. The increase in traffic that typically follows major releases like Burning Crusade likely isn't helping WoW's servers perform any better and may result in more challenges for players.

I hope Blizzard can address these issues quickly and give its fans with the authentic World of Warcraft experience they've been looking forward to. Gaming communities are rife with hackers and cheaters constantly looking for ways to make gaming experience more difficult for all players. For each of these shady people who are caught there are many more lurking behind the scenes, waiting to get their opportunity to shine. It is yet to be determined how fast Blizzard will remove of them from World of Warcraft.
