Just ahead of AMD's official Computex 2022 keynote, information about upcoming Ryzen 7000 has leaked online. Ryzen 7000 will feature 5 nm Zen 4 chiplets and a 6 nm I/O die that will include an RDNA 2 iGPU along with PCIe Gen 5 and DDR5 controllers. Ryzen 7000 will also feature 2x the L2 cache as Zen 3 and is purported to offer a 15% uplift in single-core performance.

The news about a 15% uplift is not reassuring. It's 5950X to 7950X, Cinebench R23.

Keynote summary: 7000 APU specifications remain unknown. It remains unclear whether 7000 APUs appear in time for RTX 4000 or RX 7000. No 7000 Mobile APUs in sight.

Damn... only a 15% SC gain over the 5950X? That is unfortunate. 5950X has an R23 average of 1684... so 7950X will be 1937, roughly.... meaning SC will already be out performed by the 12900KS, 12900K and 12700K Alder Lake and definitely Raptor Lake which is coming out around the same time... and I'd be surprised if M2 SC doesn't outperform the current Alder Lake offerings when it comes out.
