Any hopes the world's remaining BlackBerry fans had of a new device under this name are officially dead - according to a relevant forum's founder, at least. Kevin Michaluk of CrackBerry claims that Onward Mobility, the company that had teased this updated, 5G- and physical keyboard-enabled, smartphone several times over has now ceased operations.

BlackBerry has long only been a patent troll and they sold their patents to another non-practicing entity aka patent trolls. For this move alone I only wish them the all worst in the world. Every consumer pays a price only for these patent trolls to earn more money with patents they use for nothing else.
This should be illegal and only practicing entities should be allowed to sue for patent-infringement not sketchy lawyers but coming up with legislation to stop this is a job for a functioning government.
