Title: ADATA XPG Xenia 15 laptop review: Almost as sharp as a Razer Blade
Post by: Redaktion on October 18, 2021, 20:13:05
Have you ever wanted a Razer Blade laptop without actually owning a Razer? The ADATA XPG Xenia 15 is the closest you can get at the moment and with some features even surpassing those from Razer.

And once they get some reviews, they'll quietly replace some components with cheaper, slower ones...

Your comparison to the Blade 15 should use the recent refresh with newer CPU and 1080 camera.

You missed noting that the bottom cover screws are captive to the bottom cover.
And a small correction that the m.2 slots are cooled by a small heatsink that is mounted to the bottom cover.

The benchmarking mode does far more than max out the fans.

It changes the PL1 and PL2 limits from 65W/90W in performance mode to 100W/110W.

It also unlocks the full boost mode on the 3070 to hit 140W.  The full power draw shows up more when using an external screen which bypasses running everything through the iGPU to get to the laptop display.

I have this laptop with the
BOE NE156QHM-NY2 1440p IPS

The screen has image retention after very short use, less than 1 hour. (see attached pics)

Is this normal or should I get it replaced?  Happens after short usage, 1 hour or less
