Title: OnePlus confirms paltry software support for the Nord N200 5G
Post by: Redaktion on June 22, 2021, 16:36:36
OnePlus continues its slide from being one of the best Android OEMs for software support. While the company will upgrade the new Nord CE 5G through to Android 13, the Nord N200 5G will only receive Android 12. Three years of security patch updates are also due, but one OS update is poor.

This is probably the improved software policy for OnePlus or the Nord family going forward, starting with the Nord 200 5G.

Honestly, the Android OS is very complete now, and none of us care much about getting a 'new' version with a few enhancements of very limited value.

But we do care a LOT about security updates, so the new policy of 3 years of updates is excellent.

Good to see OnePlus moving forward with a much improved software update policy, if we have understood that correctly.
