Title: All the great (and not so great) features of the Dell XPS 13 9310 OLED compared to IPS

OLED is often seen as superior to IPS and for good reason—its colors and especially black levels remain unmatched against even the best IPS options available. Nonetheless, it falls short in a few areas worth mentioning.

1080p OLED would be great option for 13.4 inch laptop.

Strongly agree. Not sure who are these mad people who buy 4k on 13".

Wish more folks would weigh the pro's and con's carefully.  The PWM, imo weighs painfully on the response time advantage.  For the moment a fast (when you can get them) IPS seems to wear better on a users eyes over time than OLED does.  But the flashy OLED seems to lure people in.  Hope people think carefully and fairly it's nice to have choices.

Strange, I've heard OLED has yet to solve image retention, ultimately a form of ghosting. Either they double the response speed and insert black frames which have a huge impact on maximum brightness, or people have to put up with ghosting.

Also, the article says displaying all black at maximum brightness uses 3W more than all white at maximum brightness, I assume that's a typo...
