Title: TCL's 20 L series: the world's first smartphones with Circular Polarization Display technology
Post by: Redaktion on April 15, 2021, 20:15:09
TCL has launched new smartphones at its latest press conference. They include the 20 Pro 5G, which offers this brand's NXTVISION 2.0 screen optimizations and the Snapdragon 750G processor. However, the 20 L and 20 L+ also have an interesting new feature to introduce: a new TÜV Rheinland-certified polarizing treatment designed to make their displays easier to use while wearing sunglasses.

What makes it different to the Pixel 2 XL or Pixel 3 XL?

So how does this work? Does it continuously cycle through polarization angles, hence the term circular, so it will essentially be flickering in and out of view when wearing polarized sunglasses, just so fast that it's imperceptible? Or is there something else going on?

I would assume the fact it has this technology, whereas the Pixels don't.
