Title: Intel Core i5-11500 demands attention as it outscores the i7-11700K and offers almost +30% gains over the i5-10400F in Geekbench single-core benchmark

Another Rocket Lake-S processor has shown up on Geekbench in the form of the 6-core, 12-thread Intel Core i5-11500. The sample produced a surprisingly good result that nipped past a recent i7-11700K single-core test score. The i5-11500 reached a maximum frequency of 4.57 GHz and offered excellent gains over the i5-10400F.

I simply do not understand where notebook check finds these editors, I am guessing they are ex fudzilla ones cause damn they are stupid. It is OBVIOUS that the score you have for 11700k is not the right one. Search for a few more on the gb5 database and you'll see 11700k scores very close to 11900k and quite a lot better than 11500. But writing a sane article these days is getting harder and harder I see. Tomorrow you'll write an article how the i3  11100 is beating the 11900k.

Microcenter is selling the 10400 for $150.

if the 11400 sells for the same price, it could mop up with price range, especially since AMD has nothing here to compete with.

So if you pull the crazy huge AES test from the total how much faster is it? It's not looking much more impressive than my own 9700K at 4.9 or 5.0 Ghz to me.

edit: And if I go in the GB5 results browser and find an 8700K with about the same ~1300 single core score I get the multi-core score is about the same as the Rocket Lake CPU. So...fake? No MCE turned on (or PL1/PL2 limits left on)?
