Asus has upgraded its ROG Strix Scar 17 with AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX and RTX 3080 Mobile. Like all ROG models in 2021, the Scar 17 will use liquid metal as the thermal interface material for the CPU. The Scar 17 also features a 360 Hz display, optical mechanical keyboard, ROG Keystone II, and more.

Allah Bless!
Ordered a few models from Asus to support this move!
Wish it was a year earlier but now they get my money 🙏🏽
So the 17 incher is only .2 lb heavier than the 15? This can't be right. Usually the difference is 1lb+. Amazing if that's actually the case.
Do any of these laptops have a MUX switch?
"Up to 32GB+32GB DDR4 3200 SDRAM"
Im thinking they have soldered on 32GB of RAM and then give you the option to up to 32GB of RAM on a single SODIMM slot.
ASUS why just put two SODIMM slots and allow people to upgrade at there own leisure why limit people to one slot?
Has anyone noticed that the hdmi spec is listed as 2.0b and not 2.1? Nvidia says 3000 mobile series supports 2.1 on their own website so is this a typo on Asus part or do we really have to be stuck with 2.0 ports another year?
I'm interested in seeing this "maintenance hatch", none of the photos available seem to reveal anything on the bottom of the laptop, so I suspect you will still have to unscrew everything, but maybe it will be slightly easier to change parts. The QHD version only has 1 TB so it'll be really nice if upgrading that is easier.
Unlocked CPU? term "unlocked" always meant unlocked multiplier and voltage, which is NOT what Asus(or AMD?) are giving us here, therefore making this laptop a scam where all CPU manipulations are locked.
