It appears Redmi Note 8T owners are going to find themselves in the same boat as those with the very similar Redmi Note 8 smartphone in regard to a MIUI 12 update. While it seemed the Android 10-based overlay was winging its way to the Redmi Note 8T (Global, Europe, Russia) this month, Xiaomi has now warned that a delay is possible.

This is quite disgraceful for Xiaomi as Note 8T mostly share the same codebase as regular Note 8. Most of custom roms on XDA are unified build that supports both devices, with fully functional NFC on 8T.
