The Mi 10 Ultra may be the smartphone to beat when it comes to cameras, but Xiaomi has thought up another weird and wonderful way to improve smartphone camera tech as we know it. This time, the company has developed movable camera lenses, which supposedly would improve the quality of ultra-wide-angle shots and digital zoom when recording videos.

Yeah...I suppose that could reduce perspective distortion...but in that sense restoring fisheye could also reduce distortion. You're actually adding distortion to two rectilinears merged together to decrease the perceived distortion, which could also be achieved through a partially restored fisheye.
