Post by: Redaktion on June 29, 2020, 14:15:40
Available — as usual — in MATE, Cinnamon, and Xfce editions,Linux Mint  20 "Ulyana" is a long-term support release that will be updated until 2025. The list of noticeable changes includes the dropping of 32-bit versions, the removal of Snapd, as well as the replacement of VLC and Xplayer by Celluloid.

A very very good distro! For me, it's this or KDE Neon if someone asks me for a tip. :)

I'll wait a few weeks to update(just in case there is any bugs), though I personally preferred VLC and xplayer over celluloid. But I can understand offloading xplayer development, I mean for example xviewer many years later still doesn't have webp support...

There is also the whole thing with chromium becoming snap due to ubuntu and needing to use the debian release I think?

That said, I agree Mint has been an awesome distro.
