Indian intelligence agencies have allegedly requested the Indian government to ban or warn the public about 52 red-flagged apps of Chinese origin, amid mounting tensions between the two countries. Among the flagged apps are the popular networking platform TikTok, SHAREit, and UC Browser

Although those software profit from your data, they adhere to a constantly improving standard. You may have issues with that standard, it's far better than the Chinese apps which effectively have no bottom line in terms of privacy.
