Title: That awkward moment when the Core i7-10875H outperforms the more expensive Core i9-10980HK
Post by: Redaktion on May 10, 2020, 05:00:54
If you're investing in the Core i9-10980HK, it may be wise to wait for thicker laptops to become available first since they will more likely have stronger cooling solutions to better exploit the high Turbo Boost clock rates of the 10th gen Core i9 processor.

Better use unlock 4800u for 10+ hours office work and when gaming 90% of power usage and cooling capacity can go to 3070/3080.

I wonder what's going on in the first run with the Aero 15 clearly outperforming the bigger Aero 17.

10875H Aero 17 has 3200 memory, 10980HK GS66 has 2666 memory. So this little difference comes down to this.

I think using a 17" laptop to compare with a 15" is unfair...17" chassis has bigger room for cooling.
