The budget AMD Ryzen 3 3300X Matisse desktop processor has been tested on Geekbench 4 in combination with an ASRock X470 Gaming-ITX/ac motherboard. The new CPU has thrown up a single-core score and multi-core score that can beat the median scores for the thousands of Intel Core i7-7700K that have appeared on the same benchmark.

It's well known that Intel doesn't really discount old processors. They simply let the sales dry up. Making those processors irrelevant for buyers. Unless you find old stock a seller want to get rid of.
