Title: Acer ConceptD 9 Pro in Review: Workstation convertible for creative professionals
Post by: Redaktion on March 31, 2020, 01:31:33
Acer's 17.3-inch workstation shines with a lot of performance, a 4K touchscreen display with an included Wacom stylus and a Thunderbolt 3 port. The configuration is excellent otherwise as well: 32 GB of RAM, 16 GB of VRAM, NVMe SSD (1 TB).

6,000 EUR, 5-kilogram "laptop" with <1 hour under load - very specific niche. And craves for the new Ryzen to further increase the power / reduce the wattage.

Interesting.  Wish they did not put a Quadro in it.

The article says "Unfortunately, there is frequent, noticeable electronic noise that comes from the inside of the case."

This seems really significant and I have never heard of such a thing before, certainly not using an SSD - did you contact Acer about it?  That seems likely to be pretty disruptive in use, can you provide more details?
