MediaTek unveiled its new Dimensity series a couple of weeks ago as its first 5G-capable SoC lineup. As is becoming typical of MediaTek chipsets, the new Dimensity 1000L manages to handily outperform its closest rival, Qualcomm's Snapdragon 765G.

If good driver support comes in the package then... great!
So much for being the "Pro" model............
Dont forget its 5G is also faster.4.6 vs 3.7Gbps.

Well that's no issue. Current speeds are a fraction of that, UK is advertising literally 1/12 of that, actually slightly less, 300Mbps. The fact that testing peaks (worldwide) hardly reach 1.5Gbps means you probably won't come close to 3.7Gbps for the lifetime of the device.
The front end is more important for signal stability which will also have to vary with the SoC, but there's no telling except with extensive real world testing.
I wonder how the power consumption is. If it takes quite a bit more juice for equivalent performance it isn't worth it for most usage scenarios.
MediaTek's 5G chipset is something really great, it is really amazing to see them performing quite well over the years.
MediaTek is ruling the chipset industry and it can be seen from the AnTuTu scores of the chipsets.
This is something understandable. Dimensity 1000 chipset is better than even Snapdragon 855 processor. ;D ;D
