Post by: Redaktion on December 10, 2019, 17:47:46
Apple is suing Gerard Williams III, one of the founders of Nuvia, for breaching an intellectual property contract and soliciting Apple employees to leave Apple and work at Nuvia. Williams denies that he actively recruited Apple employees and claims that Apple intruded on his privacy by reading through his personal text messages.

I heard from discussions surrounding the 251 incident that Huawei has been far more successful in throwing its former employees who try to start a business in jail.
Knowing the state of the press in China, that would be quite difficult to verify. What we do know though is that there isn't a single notable startup started by a former Huawei employee, despite the company's size and history of terminating employees who don't make it into management by the age of 34, which makes a lot of "former employees". :)
