Title: Dynabook Tecra X50 Laptop Review: A light Ultrabook with light endurance
Post by: Redaktion on November 05, 2019, 18:53:43
The Tecra is back under a new name. The Dynabook Tecra X50 retains much of the Tecra flair for thinness but ultimately falls flat. While the X50 is a competent machine overall, it is priced far too high for what it offers.

35% sRGB only? It must be a mistake.

@Puppy - 54% sRGB, that is Adobe.

But yeah, Toshiba has always had a bad habit of finding the worst screen on the market to put into their top end laptops.

Which exact configuration (model no.) did you test?
The newer Tecra X30/40/50-F screens are advertised to have a brightness of 470 nits, so the measured values are quite disappointing.

Review author here.
Yes, the AdoboeRGB coverage should be 35%. sRGB is 54%. Thanks for catching that.
The screen is disappointingly dim. Usable indoors and away from windows; otherwise, you're gonna have a bad time.
The configuration tested was the Tecra X50-F (Core i7-8665U, 16 GB RAM, 512 GB NVMe SSD, FHS Touchscreen).
