As this phone has dual cameras, is described as having an HD 6.39-inch screen and the Kirin 710F SoC, it may be intended as a successor to the budget Enjoy 9. However, it lacks a launch date (and a product name) at present.

Though Huawei has established their brand impression using their Mate lineup, their Enjoy series are always of relatively low value when compared to devices of the same price segment. In China these devices are often ridiculed by smartphone enthusiasts who call them "spicy chicken", a Chinese phoneme of "rubbish". However, due to the complicated nature of interaction between corporations and other entitys in China, Huawei's "spicy chickens" are almost always covered less often.
