Title: Huawei and Oppo devices caught cheating in benchmarks, 3DMark promptly delists them
Post by: Redaktion on October 21, 2018, 21:57:20
In-house tests by 3DMark show Oppo falsifying performance scores for its latest Find X flagship smartphone and more. The news further damages the reputations of Chinese smartphone OEMs at a time when the U.S. government is already suspicious of telecommunication devices from China.

They shouldn't do this on a company by company basis, it's very easy to acquire retail units of phones and frankly I believe they could assess the  top 50 models of the world by sales in a week, and then we'd have the whole picture.
Or at least they should be picking competing models from two companies using the same processor and releasing results in pairs, like the Find X and the S9(US/China version), which would be more informative than this.
