Even without those assets, the T480s is still a dependable office companion whose formidable performance exceeds that of many competitors. At around $1,600, is today's Core i5-8250U + FHD configuration the one the majority would appreciate?

How do they get those battery life times? I never got more than 5h from my T480s i5 UHD.
I don't see a single reason to choose this over a Latitude 7490.
