Law enforcement agencies in the US and UK have accused Russia of attempting to hack routers on a global scale. The United States Computer Emergency Readiness Team (US-CERT) has released an alert today entitled "Russian State-Sponsored Cyber Actors Targeting Network Infrastructure Devices." Apparently, millions of network devices have been targeted.
