Mediatek is expanding into IoT territory with its MT2621 SoC that is designed to provide coverage for NB-IoT as well as GSM/GPRS networks. The chip also comes with an ARMv7 processor running at 260 MHz, and it is aimed at smart trackers, wearables, IoT security and industrial applications
