Made for gaming. Acer's current 17-inch series, known as Nitro, has received a CPU and GPU performance upgrade. The V17 Nitro thus performs very well while at the same time being moderately quiet. In addition, Acer has scrapped the optical drive but included nice gimmicks, such as Tobii eye tracking.

Does this version use the same FullHD display panel as the 1050 Ti version? Both are manufactured by AU Optronics, it seems. How come there is so substantial difference in the contrast?
