Title: PWM flickering test!
Post by: pupkin on May 17, 2015, 09:58:53
Hello!
All objects that we people uses have has as minimal two points of view - 1) functional and quality - all this parameters your NBC tests makes BEST!; 2) health safety when using any things/objects.
For example: when you use cooking ware its important that ware must dont have any unhealthy inclusions; when you working on factories its important that air refines perfectly; etc.
But when you use notebooks - most important for health safety is effect that  display brings/apply to users eyes. Most important parameter of it - is PWM flickering that violently impair users eyes!!!
All web sites that tests computer monitors already more than 3-5years test all monitors for PWM flickering and its frequency (prad.de, tftcentral, etc)!!! They considered that monitor is healthy if it does not have PWM frequency at all or have PWM with frequency more then >500Hz, better 1000-3000Hz.
All displays must be tested for PWM frequency at 10%, 50% and 100% of brightness because of peculiarity of PWM usage by different manufacturers.

PLEASE CARE OF HEALTH OF READERS - ADD THIS TEST to your almost ideal reviews!!!

PS About 4years ago one of my russian compatriot write small utility that override Intel GMA driver PWM control and gives possibility to rise PWM frequency to save users health. Unfortunately this utility does not work with Intel GMA drivers that newer then 2014-04. So maybe some one make new version of this utility for save eyes health of many millions of notebook users???
