Besides the lifetime vehicle and powertrain warranty, Hyundai will replace the Ioniq with a brand new car if the battery ever catches on fire. The capacity degradation warranty also includes battery replacements rather than repairs.

Hyundai's maintenance and replacement parts are famous for being expensive as f**k, so I'm going to assume that they'll recuperate the "lifetime warranty" cost by making expensive recurring maintenance mandatory.
