The world's largest EV battery maker had guessed the timing for the start of mass solid-state battery production correctly, it seems. The Chinese government has now set out a plan to become a leader in solid-state battery deployment.

Also there are solid state car batteries (12V) that last much longer/more reliable than solid lead acid.
