Embattled Volkswagen is marshalling all of its engineering ingenuity to prove it can make groundbreaking cars for the masses. It just presented the world's most efficient electric car that can cover more than 450 miles with a cheap 55 kWh battery.

as efficient as firing 100.000 workers. maybe robots will build this in 2030 then.
