In about a week, OM System will unveil a brand-new camera in the Olympus Pen series. The compact mirrorless camera, featuring a Micro Four Thirds sensor and interchangeable lenses, is said to be based on the Pen E-P7. Rumors are already revealing details about the sensor and the camera's name.

You state that no higher resolution sensor than 20 MP is available for this format. Panasonic's 25.2 MP Micro Four Thirds sensor is featured in advanced hybrid and video-centric cameras like the Panasonic Lumix G9 II, GH6, and GH7.

Panasonic G9II, which is M4/3, has a higher pixel count of 25mp.
