OpenAI switches on ChatGPT Ads in 31 European markets on 24 August. Only Free and Go users see them, and in the EEA and Switzerland there is no personalization at launch, so there is nothing to consent to yet. The free plan still hides an ads-free option that costs you messages and tools.

Ads appear on the Free and Go plans only. Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise and Edu stay ad-free. - FOR NOW. Because that's how it ALWAYS goes.
